Sunshine in February

And just like that… I appear in late February after a three month absence.

This what I’ve felt like since late November…

Christmas was very busy.

I went to the United States in January.

And this week the sun came out!

The above photos were from a trip that I made to Petersham Nurseries with my neighbour, Mrs. L. We sat in their outdoor cafe and ate cheese and tomato sammiches and enjoyed the afternoon sun on our faces.

Here are some pieces that I’ve made recently and have added to my shop.

One last thing before I go… I made a loaf of bread! I was seriously excited about that because bread always seemed very mysterious to me for some reason. I used a no knead recipe and it came out of the oven all golden, soft and yummy. I didn’t save a photo of it so I can’t show you what it looked like, but here’s the recipe in case you want to give it a go yourself, but don’t use as much salt as this one calls for.

Onward towards March!

  1. Make more bread. My grandmother made fresh bread every Saturday. She made it the old fashioned way and made our Saturdays special. We would attack her bread with butter while it was still warm from the oven.

  2. Any good recipes for gluten-free, dairy-free bread? My endoscopy looked better, which means I have to stick with this diet.😖

    1. … and there was a paragraph about how I actually made a loaf of homemade bread but that disappeared. Things are really moving along here! 🙂 Nice to hear from you again.
