Guess who visited me on Tuesday?
She was in a very creative mood and asked me to pull out my art supplies so that she could paint a picture. She seemed to know exactly what she wanted to do because she even measured the space on the paper and then measured the sponges and paint brush that she used to put paint to paper.
I made myself a cup of tea because there wasn’t room on the table for even one scrap of extra paper. She dipped her brushes and painted and then directed me to wash this brush and retrieve another brush and then asked me to hand over a sponge roller and some green paint. So I sipped tea and washed paint brushes and rollers and I mixed paint colours and taped monster feet to the bottom of the paper, as directed by Sophia.
Later, Diana invited us to her house for ice cream and a card game and when we got there, Sophia showed her the paintings that she had done. Diana asked, “Did Kim give you any help with the paintings?”
Sophia shook her head adamantly and said, “oh no… I did it all by myself.”
I do love that girly. She keeps me laughing and also — she plays a mean game of UNO.
Love it! My brain was focused on 16th c stuff so I was slow to catch the Van Gogh reference (I’m still working through that Naifeh and Smith bio.). Sophia is MOST fortunate to have a friend like you. Hugs.
Very impressive work. No behind the scenes credit for you, I guess. You are lucky to have each other, I say. Who gets to keep the painting?
Oh she’s a riot. And she keeps the painting.
