And that’s why I’m going to see Crosby Stills & Nash tonight.
Of course this is the way I remember them.
When told that we were going to see them in concert tonight, my step son said, “who are they?”
My 39 year old neighbour didn’t know either.
That’s OK. I used to have the same blank expression on my face whenever my father would talk about the great Fibber McGee & Molly.
Oh, yes, I’ve had similar blank looks…Enjoy the gig. 🙂

How can you catch the sparrow?
I recently went to see Gordon Lightfoot in Ann Arbor and was so wishing I had let my last memory of him stand when last I saw him, back when he was young(er), more vital, and far less gaunt and frail looking. It was sad listening to him catch his breath between verses and listening to him struggle to make those formally oh so beautiful high notes that’ll he’ll never be able to reach again. Alas it was a sad night and a not so subtle sign of life’s relentless impermanence. Did I need to buy a ticket for that reminder? But how could anyone NOT buy a ticket for CSN? The voice of an age and still standing (and singing). And as long as there are viable organ donors out there, David Crosby will still Carry On…
Give us a full review of the concert if you’ve a mind. Jealous across the pond, I am. Do enjoy the music and the memories. Cheers
I have never seen them. One of the few big groups from the 60’s that I never saw. I assume they’ll have their nurses nearby.
Love their “Southern Cross” … Man, the entire song is so beautiful. As another commenter said, “Cheers!”
I would be missing Young. I hope you have a marvelous time and sing along and throw caution to the wind about high notes. Please keep us posted about how went.
Best album ever! Hope you enjoyed and that they still had the harmony thing going. I put a couple of their songs on my compilation of Rock N Roll for Lisette; however, I don’t think she had any interest . . .
