The younger of these two boys has a birthday today. He is 19.
This photo was taken the first year that we formed our blended family.
I rushed home from the studio to bake him a cake
And then I baked another cake.
I don’t know why. I had a rare burst of energy.
But I think my neighbours are going to get a little treat tonight. I will be popping around with a little plate of cake.
And I wish Alex a happy birthday and many more.

My mom always made me a chocolate pudding pie for my birthday. It’s what I wanted. My brothers and sisters hated it.
