I signed up to eat a vegan diet for the month of January.
Nobody was more surprised than I that I lasted more than two days. In fact, I lasted 15 days.
Fifteen. Days.
Thankyewverymuch.
Yesterday I became fixated on chicken lo mien from the local Chinese restaurant and at 5 PM on the dot, I called them and ordered. At 5:30 I was happily eating a plate of lo mien, complimented by hot and sour soup.
Goodbye Veganuary. Perhaps a ***mostly***plant based diet will work better.
Nope, not something I could do.Especially in mid-winter! I eat very little meat (compared to most modern westerners), but veganism just seems wrong.
Bully for you to give it a go though.
I went vegetarian for almost ten years (the hippie years). In that time I caught more colds, and flu than ever. At least that’s what I keep telling myself as I chow down on a rack of lamb chops.
Phew that’s a relief!! Was stressing about what the hell I was going to cook when you come round to dinner!!!
