The evenings are drawing in a little earlier now. Pickles and I can still enjoy a late walk but the sun is lower and there is a slight evening chill in the air.
The blackberries are starting to appear — not yet ripened but within a few weeks we’ll have tonnes and tonnes of them. The birds will chatter and fight over them until they get their fill and there will still be enough for me to make a blackberry crumble.
We’re off to Belgium tomorrow. A little fun break for us before the summer ends.
