Another spring day, another walk in the field. Pickles had a romp in the tall grass. She has lost many of her teeth and so sometimes her tongue hangs out of the side of her mouth even when her mouth is shut. She is so adorable, even when her tongue flops out of the side of her mouth. Especially when.
I listened to this interview with NPR’s Terry Gross and I can’t stop thinking about it. I found his story both heartbreaking and uplifting and if you have a moment, I urge you to give it a listen. His beautiful music has been added to my playlist.
Happy Friday.
First of all, when the sun is out and the land is blooming, your spot on Earth is beautiful. Secondly, when the sun is gone, it is cold and raining, and the countryside is bare of leaves, remember this guy Sam Baker.
I don’t think I will forget him. Very powerful stuff.
I listened to that interview twice as I worked but I want to listen again then I’ll post too. A gift he was, thank you. Spring looks good over there. Today we had wind and there was a point in my day when I thought, ‘Now I must cycle to the supermarket for red wine’ and my goodness, that was a tough ride. Against the wind, but a very warm wind, meanwhile I was tired. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to hear that I too was photographed with my tongue hanging out the side of my mouth … although I have all my teeth. Dentist Monday. I hope to retain what I have 🙂
Ah, Di. I’m glad you enjoyed the interview.
