I’m not a big New Year’s Eve party-goer resolution-maker “word of the year” person. I make resolutions every day when I wake up: to be a kinder person; to be more organised; to judge people less harshly; to have gratitude. And by about 6 PM I realise that I didn’t hit the mark and so I turn on the TV and put my feet up and I do my Scarlett O’Hara rendition of “oh fiddle dee dee…I’ll think about it tomorrow.”
This morning the winds howled again and the rain came down in sheets. The laundry basket was full, the cupboards a little bare, and I had a bit of other work to do. It was just a regular day here at Dragonlane.
Towards the end of the afternoon, a certain little dog looked very bored and so I drove her to the park and we saw this sunset break through the dark clouds.
Off in the distance I saw three white tails flashing and wagging. Pickles knew instantly that they were kindred spirits.
Nothing’s cuter than a gaggle of cavaliers, I swear.
Goodbye 2013.
Happy New Year guys and to Pickles and Peri as well. We are going to a dance….and American shag and jive dance, with our neighbours….gulp ;o) xxxx
Happy New Year! Dancing and jiving will be a great way to ring it in. Have fun.
Have a good year. I’ll be staying in tonight with my dogs, while Mark goes out. That’s what happens when you hook up with someone ten years younger. And to Pickles, arf, arf, arf!
And you, too Alan.
Cheers! to all. May 2014 be kind to you.
