Yes, indeed. This pretty much sums up my feelings on the recent Republican shut-down of the U.S. Government.
In other news, Peri is responding well to my cuddles and strokes and whispers of loving words. However, she just does not trust Pickles. She purrs loudly as soon as I pick her up and sit her next to me and just as her motor really gets going, she glances around the room, sees the placid and happy Pickles sleeping on the sofa and the purring stops abruptly and Peri heads for the window sill to hide behind the curtain, which she thinks keeps her from all harm.
It’s still early days.
