I’ve got a problem. Well, many problems but we don’t want to be here for too long so I’ll get to the point.
I’ve been having difficulties that I can’t really write about here and it makes it very hard for me to blog. I hope that by saying that and putting it out there, it will loosen up my block and help me to find a way back to a more-or-less regular blogging schedule.
The problems that I’m having may be problems that any person who lives with a 17 year old surly teenager has so it’s not the end of the world. But we have a complicated family that includes a birth mother and maternal grandmother who are extremely angry that dear step son has decided to live with us. It makes it difficult to navigate family meetings and confront issues and I’m almost at my wit’s end. Even in the best of times my wit’s end isn’t far away, I can assure you.
That’s what’s happening at Dragonlane.

Now I think it’s time for a cuppa tea and a sit-down. A cup of tea solves many problems.

Redrokit has the same difficulty with blogging sometimes. She has found that she can’t blog it til she’s figured out where her rock in the river is. You’ll find your rock my dear Dragonlane. Redrokit and I disagree often, but not about our collective faith in you. Big hug.
As a step-mom I’d be secretly flattered that the teen wants to live with you–I know my steps would have been much happier with me and their Dad, they’ve told me. Of course they’re in their 20’s now. (thank goodness!)

Having been a 17 year old, surly teenage boy, albeit 47 years ago, I do not envy you. It was not easy for my mom and she gave birth to me.
