Love and Romance in Paris

The Pont des Arts is a pedestrian bridge in Paris that crosses the river Seine. It has become customary for tourists in Paris to attach padlocks to the side of the bridge and throw the key into the river as a romantic gesture of everlasting love.

My two nieces asked that we go there so that they could participate in this ritual and so my sister and I took them there yesterday afternoon.

While on the bridge I got a text from AP that said he wanted to meet me there and so I waited.

“Aunt Kim, why don’t you buy a lock?” Asked my niece, Sydney.

“Oh Honey… I don’t know…” And I was just about to say something about not being hip youngsters anymore when Alayna said, “Hey! There he is. And he’s got a lock!”

The girls sighed.

I had a big smile on my face as I embraced my dear husband.
