…on a blustery winter day.
A friend recommended Nigellissima to me as a good cookbook with delicious and easy to follow recipes.
My lovely step-son gifted this book to me at Christmas and I used it last night as inspiration for an incredibly simple pasta dinner that tasted — if I do say so myself — fabulous.
And here’s what I did:
Cooked linguini;
Sauteed lots of garlic in butter and then added prawns. Cooked for one minute. Removed prawns and added some white wine and spinach. Cooked a bit. Added the prawns again and squeezed lemon on sauce. Added cooked linguini. Added parmesan cheese.
Yum yum yum yum.
And once again I proved that you can cook almost anything in butter and it will be delicious.
And I really like Nigella Lawson. She makes me want to put on a tight, low-cut top and run out to the kitchen and cook up a storm.
It never happens, of course. But she inspires me, none-the-less.
My husband calls Nigela “the beautiful fat woman”…Now you’re inspiring me go out and get that book, or at least recreate your recipe. It’s true, butter, along with salt, are the secret ingredients to being a fabulous cook!
Hahaha. She is voluptuous, isn’t she? She once said, “food is more important than fashion…” and I’ve really liked her ever since.
You could pull the look off!
