And I was delighted to see the light in the sky well past 4:00 PM today.
I have been working in the shed again but I keep running up against various roadblocks in my metal work. I think it might have to do with my reluctance to actually measure and plan out my designs. I like to sit down take things apart and piece this and that together — and just see what happens. Turns out, not a lot unless you’ve actually thought things through logically.
AP watched a rerun of “Gone With the Wind” and now almost every day he’ll say, “Oh Fiddle-Dee-Dee!”
So that’s what I say right now.
I’m reading Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante and would like to recommend it to you. I heard about this author via the BBC Books and Authors program and it does not disappoint. Like our wintery weather, the book is stark, but beautifully written.
What are you reading these days?
*Thank you to my friend, Dinah, who knows her snowdrops from crocus.
