I’m busy, busy. So much so that the instances of misplacing things around the house and walking into rooms without the vaguest idea as to why I am there is happening much more frequently and it’s driving me crazy.
My schedule is full. Rehearsals are back-to-back and long and, at times, difficult. Let me introduce you to some of the Guys & Dolls:
Here’s Nathan Detroit, furiously studying his lines before a big entrance…
Sky Masterson
Nicely Nicely and Benny
Miss Sarah
I don’t envy the principal players. They have a huge responsibility and I can’t imagine having to memorize all the dialog that they must remember and perform. Me? I just stand in the background and twinkle my toes a little and sing.

It’s like you’re rehearsing for old age.
I sooo wish we could be there to see you treading the boards and singing your little heart out :o) Will you do another one do you think? You have inspired me – I want to get singing lessons….I figure that no one would let me be in a musical if I can’t actually hold a note…..
So, Im sitting here, reading about da show and all these broads and guys are floating through my mind, which is not so strange, and in fact is as it should be, since I am a big fan of Mr. Runyan ever since I am a small kid and I ask my mother what is a crap game and she asks me why I am reading such a book…
looks good, Kim.
You got da New Yawk thing down! Very funny comment!
Thanks, but I owe it all to a steady diet of Runyan (and some Ring Lardner) as a kid.
Being in the chorus is loads of fun! You get to sing and dance, but don’t have the pressure. Enjoy every step ball change.
It don’t mean a thing, If It ain’t got that swing!
