I am participating in iHanna’s Postcard Swap and she has asked that we photograph our process and finished products and so I am posting photos of the postcards that I made today. My dining room table was piled high. I used old hand-made prints that I chopped up for collage…pieces of other colored paper that I had on hand…stickers…photographs… basically anything that I could find in the bottom of my stash. The theme was “empowerment”.
The text reads: Β “Historically, the most terrible things – war, genocide and slavery – have resulted not from disobedience, but from obedience. – Howard Zinn
The text reads: Β When your whole wage is spent on food and shelter, you work for the freedom to survive…and that is called slavery.
So there you have it. I’ve empowered myself to make my anarco-capitalist, socialist, lefty, dirty hippy postcards. They will be sent out tomorrow.
Well, I like them.Much better than Hallmark!
Thank you, Dinah. π
Actually, I think it’s all the Christmas cards that wish for peace on Earth that are the lie. If wishes were fishes…
Oh wow, political postcards, how awesome! Thanks for sharing and joining in! π
