After avoiding the shed for a few weeks, I have returned.
And I’ve started playing. And playing is much better than working. When I approach the jewelry bench with the idea that I HAVE to come up with something, nothing good happens. I grow frustrated and I hate everything that I solder and shape.
Play is fun. Play isn’t serious and it doesn’t matter. Good things happen when you play. Why don’t we all try to play more often? It’s lovely.
Having said that, I inadvertently gold-plated half of a ring today because I melted some silver onto a very small piece of gold. AP says that it’s an interesting design feature. It’s not. It’s weird. This one might go into the scrap pile or — we’ll see what else could happen. I might feel like playing tomorrow.
At least post a picture of the ring. Let the readers decide! 🙂
