We were invited by our walking group to go on a 5 mile walk today, however, AP and I bagged out of the walk because we wanted to watch this guy play:
It was the first time in more than 70 years that a Brit has played in the Wimbledon finals and… I’m sorry… but who needs a five mile walk when Andy Murray is on centre court?
At about 10:30 this morning we got a text from the rest of the group to say that… well… it was probably going to rain anyway and, heck, maybe we should all watch Wimbledon together. And so that is what we did.
Andy Murray didn’t win but nobody cared because we were just all so proud of him. He gave a tearful speech at the end of the match and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as we watched the Wimbledon crowd stand up and wave their arms and cheer him right on… right on to the next game/match/tournament. Thanks Andy Murray for a very good afternoon of tennis.
