It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

(photo from the Compton cemetery)

And so it is. Not exactly stormy but dark and wet. I will say this: My skin is down-right dewy and all dry patches have vanished. Also, our grass is green and the flowers that I planted a few weeks ago are vibrant.

Have I mentioned that it was the wettest April in more than 100 years here in England? I think we might find that May is also in the running for some kind of record.

It isn’t in the British tradition to complain but it is very British to talk about the weather so I guess I’ve got it half right.

PS- I could do with some chocolate but I can’t be bothered to walk to the store in the rain.

  1. Oh Kim! I know exactly what you mean! If I don’t go to Wlitshire next week…how about a day at the galleries in town? Or sushi!
