The sun came out today.
It’s been raining here for nine days straight. Saturday night the winds howled and our windows rattled until even Pickles let out a little bark of alarm. Yesterday AP lit the wood stove and I cleared out the mushrooms that had sprung up in our mud room, against the front door. Such is life in England.
Rain is expected to return tomorrow and the BBC has little dark thunder clouds with rain drops on their weather board for the next five days. Until then, I’m loving the light.

I’m surprised Pickles doesn’t have moss growing on her.
me too. She has to have a bath tonight because as soon as she was let loose in the park she rolled… in something.
Kate and I arrived in Michigan yesterday, where it’s raining. Big thunder boomers predicted for Raleigh the next three days. Just thought you should know the cloud’s not just hanging over England:)
