I first started blogging about six years ago, when I stumbled upon some cat blogs and I realized that my cat, Pearl, had quite a bit to say too. So I snapped some photos and Pearl and I started writing about all the happenings in her new life here in the UK.
One of my regular visitors was Di, from More Idle Thoughts. She and I have read each other’s blogs for the past few years and I have really enjoyed
learning about her life in Australia. She is an avid gardener, bird-watcher, talented artist and writer and an all-around wise woman.
So I was thrilled when she told me that she would be in the UK for a bit and asked if I’d like to meet up. I grabbed the train this morning and we met up in London where we meandered about and in between rain showers we managed to have coffee, visit a bead shop, and eat sushi. We also talked a bit about print-making, jewelry making, cats, gardens, globalization, corrupt politicians, environmental concerns… well — all kinds of things.
And this is one of the reasons why I blog: because I so value connecting with like-minds from all over the world. It’s a great experience. Thank you, Di, for a really lovely day.
Well, even getting wet, I enjoyed our day! 🙂
