I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. I was there mainly to visit a dear friend but I also got to take in this beautiful city. The weather was not kind to us and I wore very silly shoes that were unsuitable for walking long distances. I am so vain that I cannot wear sensible shoes, especially when I’m in a major city.
I took Pickles for a walk this afternoon and the wind was blustery and my hands and feet froze and there was not one spot of sunlight in the sky. It’s so grey that at 3:00 in the afternoon cars are driving with their headlights on. Today is for sitting with the cats and the dog in front of the space heater, drinking tea and reading (or watching old episodes of The King of Queens…)
